The Crazy Weekend

We drove up to Utah for Julianne Colton's sealing and reception. We stayed in St. George overnight and went to see the St. George Temple in the morning before we headed up to Eagle Mountain.We stayed with Gary, Beth and Alyssa, who is Dan's brother. Gary, Catarina and Dan had a jam session. They were playing Rock Band, or something like that. It was really funny to watch.

Catarina met her newest cousin, Alyssa. She was so excited to have a new cousin and she was very gentle with her. In this picture, Alyssa is a week old.

Beth's Mom came to visit and brought Daniel to see Alyssa. Laura also came by to visit with Aiden. We took the kids to the park by Gary & Beth's to release some energy! They had a really good time playing at the park.

We then went back inside to take pictures because Aiden needed to go home. So we have pictures of the three Fewkes cousins: Catarina, Aiden & Alyssa.

On the 16th, we drove up to Salt Lake for Tyson Palmer and Julianne Colton's sealing and reception. I did the flowers for their wedding.

The next day we headed home. We stopped in Las Vegas to see the Graham's who are LeAnn's maternal grandparents.

Sunday Dinner

We have a tradition that on Sundays we go over to Gary & Dianne's for dinner. This has been going on off and on since Catarina was born. Her grandparents have Catarina withdrawals... LOL Well, today Dianne is in Utah with Alyssa so Catarina and I had Gary over for dinner, which turned out to be a good thing because he said he was going to either have toast or cereal for dinner if he hadn't come over. We had spaghetti, green beans, and Texas Toast. It was pretty yummy. Catarina even had sauce on her spaghetti, which she doesn't usually do at grandma's.

After dinner, Gary and Catarina sat down for some video games while I cleaned up. I'm not sure who was actually playing the game. It seems as though they kept switching back and forth. Actually, Catarina likes to "share" when there is a hard part in the game. It was pretty cute.

Recent Events

August, thus far, has been pretty crazy for the Fewkes family. It started off with a surprise visit from Jeff, Laura & Aiden, who live in Utah. We went to dinner at Black Angus on the 4th and then to Disneyland on the 5th. Danny was able to go to both events. It was really cool!

The next news is that my newest niece, Alyssa Kaitlyn Fewkes, was born 08/08/08 in Utah. She is the daughter of Gary & Beth. She is absolutely adorable.

We can't wait to see her next week when we travel to Utah for my niece's wedding. We are really excited for them. I did their flowers...

I had the opportunity to do the flowers for Dan's Cousin's wedding last weekend. They had 300 roses! It was a lot of fun and a lot of work. I think the bride's bouquet was my absolute favorite of all of the flowers, other than the food table arrangement. Steven, the groom, wanted some color on the food table since they were serving Mexican food! It was yummy! During the money dance, he told me that they were getting a lot of comments on the flowers, especially the food table arrangement. It made me feel really good!
