Catarina is now an Orange/White Belt! YAY!

Cat's Karate Class 09/30/08.

Warming up...

Daddy volunteered to help during class. Cat working on blocking with Daddy.
Form practice.
One-Step Practice. The above picture is where she says "I'm Safe!"
Ms. Sonia going over her testing results with her. She scored GREAT on both her form and one-step.
Presentation of her new belt.
Smiling at the camera for Grandma. (Grandma took all of these pictures.) Family pictures. Dan & I were headed to the gym after Cat's karate practice so we were both in our gym clothes. This is kind of a corny family picture.

After month of practice, Catarina has moved onto a new belt. We are really excited for her. She is learning discipline and how to listen. This helps tremendously at school. We are really proud of her progress.

Cat's First Day of School - Orientation Day

Cat had her first day of preschool today. Well, it was more like an orientation day. She has the same teachers and classroom as last year. They reorganized it a bit and made it a lot more inviting. Cat had a really good time seeing her friends and meeting new friends. We look forward to a wonderful school year. YAY!
Snacks
Links that Daddy put together and Cat started to take apart...
Playing with the houses.
Who knows... Just colorful!
Riding around outside. She loves to play outside!

Labor Day

We went to Ray & Kathy's for Labor Day. Cat had a good time on the slide and has gotten the hang of swimming now. The floaties help. She had a good time hanging with her cousins; she has a lot of them on the Horspool side.
We had a bar-b-que which Bobby cooked the hamburgers and hotdogs. Dan decided to supervise for a minute... Acutally they were chatting while Bobby cooked.
The women folk hung out on the patio and chatted while the kids swam.
This is Rebecca & Matt's son named Cameron. He is two months old and swimming for the first time. It took him a minute to get used to the water. He loved it!
Towards the end of the day all the kids were in the spa, where it was a lot warmer than the pool was. Cat kept going back and forth between the spa and the pool. She couldn't get enough of the slide. She was very sad when it was time to go home.
I think all of the kids had a good time swimming and playing together. Thank you to Uncle Ray and Aunt Kathy for having us over. We had a good time chatting with the family.
